COACHING GUIDE

The response to prayer comes when we align ourselves with God. The fruit of prayer can yield effects of 30, 60, or even 100 times. The reason for ineffective prayers, whether due to not praying at all or praying without receiving a response, is because we are still sinners, children of the devil, and have not yet been recognized as righteous by God’s standards.

To enter the gate of salvation, it’s not merely about reciting the Salvation Prayer to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, performing religious rituals, or engaging in sacrificial services. Instead, the key is to pray essential prayers in alignment with the teachings of the Bible.

1.   Prayer calling upon the name of God: The significance of God’s name is profound, as He commands all creation to glorify and honor it. He promises qualification as His people and the granting of grace and power to those who call upon His name. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13, NIV) This idea, that calling upon God’s name leads to salvation, originates from the prophet Joel and is reiterated by both Peter in Acts and Paul in Romans. Ultimately, God discerns true faith by the act of calling upon His name. “For I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.'” (Zechariah 13:9, NIV) As demonstrated in the verse above, God acknowledges those who call upon His name as His people. Therefore, to enter the gate of salvation, one must earnestly call upon God’s name and seek Him.

2.   Prayer invoking the name of Jesus and Blood of Jesus: Can anyone enter the gate of salvation simply by calling upon the name of God? In principle, yes. However, there are conditions. God listens to the prayers of the righteous but disregards those of sinners. Thus, before calling upon God’s name, one must repent of sin and seek forgiveness. “Formerly, we too all lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts.” (Ephesians 2:3, NIV) “What the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:3-4, NIV)

Due to the weakness and inadequacy of our flesh, God gave His only Son, Jesus, to be crucified on the cross to atone for our sins. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, He fulfilled the requirements of the law. As a result, we must repent of our sins daily, trusting in the merit of the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross for forgiveness. This prayer cleanses and reconciles us with God, guiding us on the path to salvation. Additionally, we actively engage in spiritual warfare against sin and the evil spirits that tempt us, relying on the merit of Jesus’ sacrifice as we fight against them. In essence, by invoking the merit of Jesus’ sacrifice, repenting of sin, and combatting sin, we become righteous and are acknowledged as God’s people. Therefore, to enter the gate of salvation, one must wield prayer as essential weapons, calling upon God and invoking the name of Jesus and the Blood of Jesus Christ. Victory in spiritual warfare is achieved through dedicated and persistent training. You will experience the remarkable power of these two prayers in your life as you persistently and rigorously train this prayer.
